Robin is currently teaching in many locations in Southern California. Fillmore is near Los Angeles, Neeche is near Palmdale, Llano is near Lancaster and just adding Moorpark.
Contact Karen for an appointment today at any of these locations! Each one has something different to offer. What better way to get your dog seasoned than training in many locations on different stock.
The Jamul location will be hosting clinics soon. Focusing on handling and judging, starting with the AKC A course, then AKC B course.
I will be going over all courses available through the summer. AKC, AHBA, USBCHA, and ASCA.

On the Lamb Herding Training is dedicated to the development and promotion of a "thinking dog". Students gather to compete against and learn from one another during classes and in informal get-togethers and trials.

Many dogs were originally bred to herd. Unfortunately, this working instinct has been misdirected or erased and forgotten in many now popular breeds. My goal is to provide the opportunity for all herding breeds, both historic and AKC recognized, to regain and reach their true potential.

I give you one on one attention in a friendly relaxed atmosphere.

My specialty is teaching you to understand livestock and teach your dog to learn to be an independent, problem solving, thinking partner willing to take direction.

I offer All Breed Herding Training and 20 years of experience to help your dog learn to "think" and you both be better Team mates.

Come to class and see I can help you with USBCHA, AKC, AHBA & ASCA Ranch Work, Whatever you want to do ! Beginner to Advanced level.

Robin Penland-Elliott, 

World Team Member, California State Champion, Arizona State Champion, New Mexico State Champion, Texas State Champion, is the owner/director of On The Lamb Herding Training.  Under her instruction and guidance, countless dogs and owners have been trained and titled in many different states.
Robin has trialed her dogs extensively.  Her own accomplishments have been numerous since she won her first trial in 1990 with "Tonka".  Outstanding among her winning dogs have been, "Blaze", "Jeep", "Jill", "Pat", and the newest "On The Lamb Lass"

  • Selected to be a Member of the US TEAM to compete in the World Championship Trial in Ireland, 2005  with Pat and Maddie.  Pat, field 3, was High Score American Dog
  • Qualified for USBCHA Nationals 1995-2005 placed in the Top 50 5 times, Top 20 2 times
  • New Mexico State Champion-  1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004
  • Arizona State Champion  residing since 1998 
  • Soldier Hollow Reserve Champion Finals 2003, First overall for the week.
  • Five Time BCSA National Specialty Champion  High Score, High In Trial and High Reserve High in Trial 00, 01, 02, (Judged 03), 04, 05
  • Texas State Champion 2005
  • West Texas Dog of the Year 2005 - "Pat"
  • Top Open Dog of the Year California -  5 times
  • Top Open Team Champion. California - 2 times
  • Top Pro-Novice Dog of the Year California - 2 times
